A Broken Kind of Beautiful

I am blessed to be a part of Katie's launch team for this book. I was given an Advanced Reader's Copy and was SO excited to receive the book in the mail so I could dive in! As an avid reader of Christian fiction novels, I thoroughly enjoyed Katie's first novel and looked forward to this one as well.

Katie did not disappoint. Ivy Clark is a character that I felt for, down to my core. I always know a book is good when I can't put it down, it gives me shivers or makes me cry and this book was all three! While the book was believable, it was also very thought-provoking. I have since lent the book to various family members and am ready for them to return it to me so I can re-read it!

Holy Night

Colleen's books are hit-or-miss for me. Some of them I absolutely love and cannot put down, but others I find harder to really enjoy.

The Vow

I have seen the movie "The Vow" which was inspired by Kim & Krickitt's true story. It was neat to hear their perspective- I can't even imagine living through what they did!!

Turnabout's Fair Play

I won this book a while ago and just hadn't gotten around to reading much of it. I enjoyed it once I really got into it.

A Promise Kept

I am usually not a fan of books that alternate between the past and present, but I did enjoy this one!

Divergent

I really enjoyed this book even though it was verrrry Hunger Games-ish. It wasn't the exact same but I definitely feel like the author took the general storyline and recreated it in this story.

Nurturing, Healing Love

After reading about Newtown, I was excited to read this book but found it slightly disjointed. I found myself sorry for her loss but unable to connect with her writing style.

Fields of Grace

Hannah's story is unique- she is young, but she's been on quite a journey. I really enjoyed her book and am hoping she writes another one later in life.
