Modern Romance

I was not impressed with this book overall...I think I was expecting it to be funnier.

A Riverwalk Christmas

I decided with this book to rate it by its individual novella stories. I really loved the first one way more than the others and it just didn't seem fair to judge the whole book together! As a side note, I was in San Antonio when I read the book which made it a bit more fun. :)

Riverside Serenade by Elizabeth Goddard- 5/5
Key to Her Heart- Martha Rogers- 2/5
Lights of Love- Lynette Sowell- 3/5
Remember the Alamo- Kathleen Y'Barbo- 3/5

I Can Barely Take Care of Myself

2/5

I enjoy Jen on Chelsea Lately but found the book to be pretty repetitive of itself.

Crossroads Bay

2/5

The story line was interesting but it just didn't draw me in like I'd hoped. This was a very short story but took me days to plow through.

The Atonement Child

For some reason, I just didn’t enjoy this book as I’d hoped I would. It was a challenge for me to muddle through.

Perfection

2/5

(This was a book unlike those I usually read. I randomly picked it up at the library and was expecting it to be about the author's life before her husband died and life after. Instead, the majority of the book focused on various extramarital affairs the late Henry had. At times the book was riveting and other times, very slow as affairs were closely examined.)

The Blood of Strangers

2/5

(After reading Robert Lesslie’s books, this one couldn’t seem to measure up. The stories were only slightly interesting and definitely could have used more details. However, it was a nice, fast read.)

A Daughter’s Legacy

2/5

(I had a hard time getting into this book. I suppose it could be because I am not an animal lover!)
