Hi, My Name Is Jack

4/5

(This man's story was incredible. His struggles with alcoholism, abuse within his family, multiple relationships are recounted with honest and raw openness. The number of hardships in his life thus far are just innumerable- and yet somehow he has found strength through and turned his life around.)

Hello Hollywood

3/5

(I enjoyed the beginning of this book, but eventually lost interest in it. I did finish the book because I wanted to see how it ended- but it was halfheartedly. I'm not sure why it didn't draw me in, it may have been for the pure reason of busyness around me while reading!)

A Killer Among Us

5/5

(I loved this book, as I have other books by her. I read it in one day-- during naptimes, after work... It had me guessing until the very end!)

The Doctor's Secret Son

4/5

(This was a fun, quick read. I got through the first half quickly and then slowed down a little, although I'm not entirely sure why!)

As Good As She Imagined

3/5

(I read another review that said this book may have been better if the author wrote it a few years after the accident instead of merely months, and I have to agree. I think the event was too close to make the writing pull you in-- yes, the story was interesting but I definitely wasn't absorbed in the book)

The Protector

4/5

(I really loved the end of this book. I almost feel badly for giving it 4 stars instead of 5, but I found the beginning a little confusing. There seemed to be a lot of characters introduced and I had a hard time keeping them straight for a while. However, still definitely a recommended read- as are ALL the books in this series!)

The Truth Seeker

5/5

(As you can see, I’m working my way through the O’Malley series and I cannot stop!)

A Daughter for Christmas

4/5

(I really enjoyed this quick read as a break from the more-intense O'Malley series. The storyline was beyond intriguing. One issue I had was the cover design- the little girl is supposed to be 13 years old and looks years younger, closer to 8 in my mind. I didn't let it detract from my rating, but I love covers and this one drove me nutty!)

The Guardian

5/5

(I'm loving the O'Malley series by Dee Henderson. Once I begin a book by Dee, I have a hard time stopping. The characters are believable and it makes me want to be a part of their community.)
